Story

Blackwillow was pushing hard and was bitting on the stick in front of her. "A little more, I can see his head" Heatherfern, the Shadeclan medicine cat said. Blackwillow was giving birth. Her mate, Snakevenom, was out on patrol, as always. Blackwillow felt another spasm before relaxing. "There you go. They're out." Heatherfern said roughly. "I'll send the inspector over." Heatherfern said and padded through the den carelessly.

Blackwillow looked at her kits and her head dropped; one of the kits was white. He was a white tom with black ear-tips and a black tail-tip. Blackwillow licked the kit and the others. She knew this was the first and last time she will lick the white kit.

Shadeclan has a secret kit inspector. He inspects the kits, and if they're white, silver, blue, golden, ginger, or light brown they get kicked out of the clan and given to another clan that respects the fur colour. Example, if the kit is Ginger, we will send it to fireclan territory. If the kit's white, like in this case, we'll send it to Iceclan. The inspector also looks at the eyes; one of her sister's kit had one gorgeous blue eye and one shinning green eye, but he was sent out on Creekclan territory. His name was Oddkit, but he wasn't odd at all. Shadeclan does this to keep it's dark range of pelts to attack and sneak in battles.

Oatclaw came in. He was a black tom with oat-colored legs with aqua eyes. He looked at the queen and shook his head to the white kit. He snarled "This one's out." and he grabbed the white kit and dropped it rather harshly on the small cave floor. Oatclaw came over to the other kits. One was a black tom and the other one was a black she-kit. Oatclaw inspected the kits, felt his paw on the kit's spine, looking in it's eyes to see if the kit was blind.

Oatclaw picked up the kit and saw the rage and dismay in Blackwillow's eyes. He used to love Blackwilow, he was hers and they were happy. But then handsome Snakevenom came along. He sighed through the kit fur. He went to Articstar's den. She was gone on patrol. Oh no. That meant he has to go see Scartalon. He gulped and took a deep breath, although it was hard through the kit fur. Oatclaw padded over to Scartalon, who was eating fresh-kill. He laid the kit down next to Scartalon. "What is this?" Scartalon said, barring his teeth and stood up to Oatclaw. Scartalon was humongous. He was a huge long-furred grey tom, about twice the size of a full grown apprentice. His scars were intimidating, and Oatclaw was glad he didn't have to face him in battle. "This kit is white, and white has no permission in this clan". Oatclaw said.

Scartalon tilted his head to one side. "And... Why are you coming over to me?" Scartalon muttered. He un-barred his teeth. "Where should we leave him? In front of a twoleg nest?" Oatclaw pushed Scartalon on. "No. How about Cherryclan?" Scartalon said, suddenly very serious. "Cherryclan is already full of warriors, and they might try to go against us."I doubt it, but you're right. He curled his tail around his paws, hiding most of the scars. "Creekclan?" Oatclaw said questionably. "No. We already gave them Oddkit." Scartalon said through a rumble. Oddkit was  Scartalon's nephew, his sister's kit. "How about Iceclan?" Scartalon said with his head dipped to look more closely at the white kit. "Iceclan?" Oatclaw said doubtfully. "Yes. They are already weak, and they are always giving second chances. This will be easy." Scartalon said and started clawing the earth. He drew patterns and patterns, it was incredibly detailed. "You'll have to sneak on the Creekclan border, then Marshclan, then you'll find yourself in the middle spot of five clans, it's called the centerpoint. Marshclan, Hawkclan, Meadowclan, Flameclan and Iceclan. Iceclan and Hawkclan smell alike. Good luck." Oatclaw picked up the kit, looked at the scratched-up earth one more time, and padded towards the entrance.

Oatclaw sneaked on the creekclan border. He was in the thick undergrowth, until he reached the end of the undergrowth and into a forest of vines. Marshclan territory. He padded on the border, keeping close to it and not into the vines. By the time he reached centerpoint, it was already sundown.

"Where do you think you're going, Shadecat?" Oatclaw turned around. The most elegant cats he's ever seen, one was pure white with amber eyes and the other one was a white and blue, half of her face was in scars, but her eye was still open. Oatclaw snarled and dropped the confused kit at their paws "Just giving you a present. We don't need white cats. They are puny and useless to us." The white cat looked down slightly at the kit, with his muzzle still up. The white and blue she-cat looked up at The black and oat-colored cat. "We might as well introduce ourselves. I'm Snowdream." Her voice was silky and smooth, Oatclaw thought. "My name's Silentwhisper, I used to be from the tribe of the fallen stars." Silentwhisper said calmly. His voice sounded funny. "I'm Oatclaw." Oatclaw said and barred his teeth and lifted a paw to flex his claws. "Are you going to take the kit yes or no?" Oatclaw was getting impatient. "Yes." Snowdream picked up the kit. "Thanks you. Tell his mother we are calling him Harekit because his ear-tips and tail-tip rimind us of a hare." Silentwhisper said and padded to Snowdream and they left counterpoint.

Oatclaw ran back toward the marsh clan border. He could finally run freely.
