Leafshine starred at the dead body at her feat; it was white and grey, with grey paws and cream circles around her eyes. It had a scar on her neck, and Sparrowflight found out that it was a fisher that attacked the dead leader, because of the fur between her claws.

That leader was a very good one, the best Leafshine's ever had. Her name's Snowstar, and she was Leafshine'sbest friend and mentor. They shared everything; from secrets to prey, from fears to happiness, Leafshine was snowstar's best friend and Snowstar was Leafshine's best friend too. Leafshine stood over the dead body and pawed at the muscles on her shoulders those powerful shoulders, but unfortunately a fisher brought her down. What about the rest of the clan. A tear dripped from her cheek and fell on the leader's scar.

"Leafshine!" Sparrowflight called. The moon's still up, so let's go to the moonstone. Leafshine nodded and let her head and tail lower. Snowstar was like her sister she never had. Duskgaze padded over to her adopted sister. "Good luck" he said. "say hi to mom for me." Dusgaze said "to both Shyfrog and Dawnlight." He smiled say hi to Coldshade and tell him I miss him. Patchpaw trotted over to Leafshine, Rainpaw on his heels. "Say hi to Skunktail for me. We miss her."  Waterflow came up to Leafshine and swept her adopted kits toward her and whispered "tell her her kits are fine, and I miss my favourite sister" she said looking down and smiling "my only sister" she said. "Will do." Leafshine said and she left the camp.




After the leadership ceremony in starclan, Leafstar came up the highrock, took a deep breath and said "may all cats old enough to count time gather below the high ledge for a clan meeting. Ashpool was first under the rock followed by Heronflight and Jupiterfang, who smiled to Duskgaze as he came to sit beside her. Aspenmist, Patchpaw Rainpaw and Blackpool sat behind Duskgaze and Jupiterfang. Hawkstreak and Icedance dropped the rabbit they've been sharing. Ratstalker and Dustcloud came up, their tails twined together. Twilightkit and Thinderkit jumped and skidded around to Blackpool, who was slightly ruffled by the kit's disrespect.

Leafstar shook her pelt and raised her head to the now risen sun. "I call these words before Snowstar's spirit." Leafstar swallowed. "The new Timeclan deputy is...."
